Use the G-Sensor of your HTC to rotate the screen

Zensor 2 is a program developed thinking on HTC Touch PRO and HTC Touch Diamond, so they can take advantage of the G-Sensor and rotate the phone screen automatically.

There are other applications out there that use the G-Sensor, but Zensor 2 only recognizes firm movements. By this way you will avoid screen rotations each two seconds with minor movements. Just rotate the screen whenever you want, rotate it firmly and the screen will obey your orders.
